Remarks

 

Please inquire about other materials than those listed in the table. These must be weldable for stud welding. Under certain circumstances, welding tests must be carried out.
Unalloyed steel studs are suitable for welding if they have little or no hardening. The carbon content should therefore be ≤ 0.20%. Free-cutting steels are not suitable for stud welding; it must be used soothing cast steel with good cold workability. Welding elements made of austenitic stainless steels are generally suitable for welding.

Upon customer request, we can offer you the material properties with an acceptance test certificate according to DIN EN ISO 10204 (melt analysis).

Special welding elements are supplied in accordance with DIN EN ISO 13918: 2018.

The surface protection usually consists of a galvanic copper plating. The layer thickness is evenly circulating max.

5µm (Coding C2E). Another surface protection is to be requested.

The tolerance of the thread without surface protection is 6g, with surface protection 6h.

CE marking

Current status until further notice is that there is no general CE marking of welding elements according to DIN EN ISO 13918: 2018, unless the German Institute for Construction Technology DIBt has a construction product (eg consisting of studs with base material - concrete anchor on plate ) certified.

According to European standardization, a welding element is merely a means of construction and not a construction product; Design tools do not require CE marking.

Unauthorized CE markings can have legal consequences.
