Optimal Process Control
For Reproducible Welding Processes
When used in conjunction with CONTACT-M or GAP-M, the CDP-66M measures key mechanical process parameters directly on the device.
Bolt projection, lift, penetration, and piston speed can be displayed and monitored—ensuring precise adjustment and reproducible welding results.
Digital position measurement is already available without additional process control. Optionally, process control can be expanded to include the acquisition and evaluation of electrical welding parameters.

Frequently Asked Questions
About the CDP-66M
The CDP-66M is designed for steel and stainless steel weld studs ranging from M3 to M8. Non-hardenable aluminum alloys can be processed up to M6, depending on the material and application.
Compatible models include CONTACT, CONTACT-M, GAP, and GAP-M, among others.
Digital position measurement records mechanical parameters such as bolt protrusion, lift, penetration, and speed, and can be used even without optional process control. Process monitoring expands on this by adding data logging, analysis, and limit value monitoring, as well as electrical process parameters such as welding current and welding time.
Suitable materials include steel and stainless steel, zinc-coated sheet metal up to 15 µm, and—depending on the material and application— non-hardenable aluminum alloys up to M6.
The CDP-66M achieves a welding rate of up to 20 bolts per minute in continuous operation.
