Combine robot motion and welding technology

Bolzenschweißtechnik bsk + BTV GmbH offers robotic stud welding solutions regardless of the robot manufacturer. The robot handles movement and positioning, the welding head performs the welding process and the feeding system supplies the welding element. The welding technology and control are adapted to the automation system.

Mechanical integration

Ideally, the stud welding head is mounted securely on the robot arm or tool flange. Suitable adapter plates are available for many robot brands. Whether an additional working stroke or a special mechanical configuration is useful is determined for the specific application.

Welding in spatial positions

Robots can reach welding positions in different spatial orientations. This also permits positional welding that is difficult or impossible to reach with conventional gantry systems.

Stud welding with cobots

Modern cobot systems have already been equipped with stud welding technology. Bolzenschweißtechnik bsk + BTV GmbH supports technical coordination and provides information and application videos.

Application example with an ABB cobot

The video shows an ABB cobot with a maximum payload of 12.5 kg at the flange plate. It is fitted with a KAH-100D stud welding head with a support tube. Capacitor discharge studs are welded and supplied by the BZ-V01 stud feeder The welding energy is provided by the CDP 99 M stud welder.

The equipment shown is an application example. The robot, welding technology and integration are tailored to the specific production task.
