DIGITAL DISPLACEMENT MEASUREMENT

With DA-10M or DA-12M welding guns, the DA-800M displays stud protrusion, lift, plunge and plunge speed on the unit. The integrated displacement measuring system in these M guns supports adjustment and correction of the mechanical parameters. DA-10 and DA-12 do not have a displacement measuring system.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions
about the DA-800M

Which welding ranges does the DA-800M cover?

The data sheet specifies M3–M12 for RD threaded studs and Ø 2–12 mm as the equipment range. The welding gun, material and permissible combination of welding element and base material must also be considered.

Which welding guns are compatible?

The data sheet lists DA-10, DA-10M, DA-12 and DA-12M. The ATP-8 automatic gun requires the optional automatic module. Displacement measurement requires DA-10M or DA-12M.

What is monitored on the display?

With an M gun, stud protrusion, lift, plunge and plunge speed are displayed. When stud protrusion, lift or burn-off fall below the set minimum values, the unit highlights the affected parameter in colour.

Which materials are listed in the data sheet?

Unalloyed steel, alloyed steel and aluminium. Separate maximum diameters for each material are not specified. The specific material combination and welding range must suit the application and gun.

Which mains supply and additional modules are required?

The standard specifications are 3 × 400 V at 50/60 Hz, a 32 A slow-blow fuse and a CEE 32 A plug. One gun connection is provided. The optional DA-4 switchbox is required for up to four connection points; automatic guns also require an automatic module.
