MODEL SELECTION

DA-10 OR DA-10M?

DA-10 operates without an integrated displacement measuring system. To record stud protrusion, lift, plunge and piston speed, select DA-10M in conjunction with suitable equipment technology. The display shown and the following measured variables refer to this M version.

WELDING PROCESS

Short-cycle drawn arc welding

DA-10 is intended for short-cycle drawn arc welding. The process can be carried out with or without shielding gas.

Stud welding sequence

The welding process comprises lifting, the arc phase and plunging. Process parameters are matched to the specific welding task.

More about stud welding processes

Lift the stud

After positioning, the stud is lifted. A pilot arc is formed.

Ignite the arc

The main welding current melts the stud end and workpiece surface.

Plunge the stud

At the end of the preset welding time, the stud plunges into the weld pool. The joint solidifies.
