T-stud for the short-cycle process
PROCESSING

Stud welding
with short-cycle drawn arc welding

T-studs are welded using short-cycle drawn arc welding. The stud welder, stud holder and, where applicable, feeding system must be matched to the specific head and shank geometry. Automated solutions are also possible; for example, bsk + BTV offers CNC systems with pick-up for small T-studs.
Match the welding parameters and holder to the stud geometry, base material and sheet thickness. Suitability of the joint must be checked for the application.
