ATP-8M/ATP-8K automatic welding gun

The ATP-8M automatic welding gun for stroke and short-term drawn arc ignition and for the gap process tip ignition with integrated position measuring system, which even recognize when wear and dirt have a lasting negative effect on the welding quality! In the variant of the ATP-8K for the contact method tip ignition, the position measuring system can also be integrated on special customer request.

The ATP-8M automatic welding gun has been developed for the economical welding of threaded weld studs, pins and bushes according to DIN EN ISO 13918 in series of medium to large quantities semi-automatically with or without automatic stud feed according to the following procedure:

>> Capacitor Discharge / Peak Ignition No. 786

>> Short cycle drawn arc and drawn arc No. 783 + 784

Due to the precise plain bearing guide of the pistol piston, the greatest possible bolt positioning accuracy is ensured. The simple and robust design enables practical use even under harsh working conditions. Equipped with a manual insertion tube, studs can be fed in manually or automatically with our BZ-V01 stud feeding system.

The distance measuring system integrated in the ATP-8M enables the welding quality to be monitored by measuring and displaying the stud protrusion, lift, melting dimension (immersion dimension) and piston speed. The ATP-8K can optionally also be equipped with a position measuring system.
